Focus Wales 2025 Expands Lineup with 104 New Acts, Showcasing Global Talent

Focus Wales 2025 is set to return with an even more exciting lineup, as organizers have announced an additional 104 acts joining the festival. The highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place from May 8 to 10 in Wrexham, North Wales, will feature artists from across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America.

Supported by the Arts Council of Wales, the Welsh Government, and PRS Foundation’s Talent Development Network, Focus Wales has established itself as a major platform for emerging and established artists. The festival spans multiple venues in Wrexham, offering an eclectic mix of genres and showcasing cutting-edge talent from around the world.

Focus Wales 2025 Expands Lineup with 104 New Acts

Among the latest artists confirmed for the 2025 edition are French synth-pop group Eat-Girls, Seoul-based Hypnosis Therapy, and Brussels jazz collective Tukan. These new names add to an already impressive lineup that includes previously announced acts such as Irish rock band Sprints, Mercury Prize-nominated Nova Twins, Welsh singer-songwriter Gruff Rhys, and rapper Lemfreck, the winner of the 2024 Welsh Music Prize.

In collaboration with APRA and the British Council NZ, Focus Wales 2025 will also feature a special Māori reception and showcase, highlighting three talented New Zealand artists: Jordyn With a Why, MĀ, and MOHI. This initiative aims to celebrate cultural diversity and provide a platform for indigenous artists on the global stage.

Tickets for Focus Wales 2025 are now available for purchase. Festival passes start at £80 ($99), while industry professionals can acquire delegate passes for £160 ($198). Day tickets are also on sale for those looking to experience specific performances.

The announcement follows Focus Wales’ recent showcase at ESNS in Groningen, Netherlands, where Welsh bands CVC and The Family Battenburg took the stage. Speaking to Billboard UK, co-founder and booker Andy Jones emphasized the importance of the festival’s presence at international events, stating that it ensures Focus Wales and the Welsh music scene remain part of the global conversation.

In 2024, Focus Wales welcomed performances from renowned acts such as Spiritualized, The Mysterines, and Antony Szmierek. As the festival continues to grow, it solidifies its reputation as a key player in the international music industry, providing opportunities for artists to gain exposure and connect with audiences worldwide.
