A Deep Dive Into Lennon’s Post-Beatles Journey

New John Lennon Documentary

The film traces Lennon’s career from the release of his 1970 debut solo album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band to his untimely passing in 1980. It examines his artistic evolution, including the release of controversial diss track How Do You Sleep?, protest anthems like Power To The People and Happy Xmas (War Is Over), and the timeless classic Imagine.

Beyond music, Borrowed Time also explores Lennon’s political activism. The documentary highlights his legal battle with the Nixon administration, which sought to deport him due to his anti-war stance, as well as his often scrutinized relationship with Yoko Ono. The film also promises a never-before-told account of how Lennon and Ono met, and an inside look at the ambitious 1981 comeback tour that never materialized.
