John Summit, one of the most influential figures in the house music scene, has officially begun working on his sophomore album. The DJ and producer recently revealed that recording sessions are underway in London and Amsterdam, signaling another exciting chapter in his rapidly evolving career.
Less than a year after the release of his debut album Comfort In Chaos, Summit has kept fans engaged with a string of innovative singles. Among his recent releases is “Gas Pedal,” a collaboration with Subtronics and Tape B, which reimagines Sage the Gemini’s hit track with a dubstep twist. His willingness to experiment with different genres has set the stage for an even more diverse sound in his upcoming album.
Summit recently took to social media to share previews of unreleased demos, offering glimpses of tracks spanning various electronic subgenres, from techno to drum & bass. This move has fueled anticipation among fans eager to see how his signature style will evolve in his second full-length project.
The Chicago-born producer is once again teaming up with notable artists such as Sub Focus and Julia Church, the latter of whom collaborated with him on the track “Go Back.” Other artists involved in the project include Hannah Boleyn, Ina Wroldsen, and EDM.com Class of 2024 honoree Camden Cox. Additionally, Summit was seen with hard techno icon Sara Landry, though there has been no official confirmation of a collaboration.
As of now, Summit has not disclosed the title or release date of his sophomore album. However, with recording sessions in full swing and teasers already generating buzz, fans can expect more updates in the coming months.
